🌏 Previewing the Next World Champs

🔥 Pitchers Throw Some Serious Heat

🚀 ...and much more! Let's get into it.

👑 Main Character

The Women’s World Cup officially kicks off later today with 32 teams vying for the most coveted trophy in all of soccer over in New Zealand.

Team USA leads the pack in Group E and will have to get through Vietnam, the Netherlands, and Portugal to advance to the knock out stage of the tournament. Realistically, the U.S. should have no problem making it out of the group, and have a real shot at winning the whole cup (this isn’t a surprise).

Star players Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe will lead the charge in helping the team navigate the sports’ biggest stage with each of them appearing in what will be their fourth World Cup. This team is special, and has been for quite some time. Reloading at talent all around the field, the U.S. is going for their third consecutive World Cup win.

The first match for Team USA is tomorrow against Vietnam in what should be an exciting match for us watching at home. A good game to ease into before the real action starts next week.

🥺 Wholesome Content

After taking a year off to grow his love for the game through coaching youth baseball, reliever Alex Speas dominated in his major league debut by striking out three All-Stars and allowing 0 hits through 1.2 innings of work. Certainly something to smile about.

🐣 Tweet(s) of the Day

Not moving an inch at the plate in a tied-game at-bat is wild. Mr. Harper must have decided early on last night that this game was not going to be his game.
