A Weekend to Remember

A Classic Covers Weekend

About Last Night: 4-2

What a weekend for sports, so much action, so many good games, so much football. Bravo to the committee for putting together the four best teams in the Playoffs. Listen, I love making myself money, but I love making you all money more. Ohio State was beyond checked out, having to play their lowly 3-star’s. The Ravens are officially very real and should have a nice path to the AFC Championship game now. My crown jewel though, is the Eagles vs Cardinals game. Few things bring me more joy than when a Philadelphia team loses a heartbreaking game. The fans are so upset at every coach and player and it is pure chaos, it’s the best. I will do my best to keep up the wins.

Pick 1: Knicks 1Q -2.5 vs Bulls

Me? Like the Knicks? In the first quarter? Doesn’t sound like something I would love. I will keep it simple and say the Knicks are 19-13-1 ATS in the first quarter and the Bulls are 13-22. The Knicks are at home, the Bulls are on a back-to-back. Knicks Fever is sweeping the nation.

Pick 2: Providence -6.5 vs Seton Hall

I will admit I have not paid much attention to College Basketball this year because I have been so into football. If there is one thing I know about CBB, it’s that Providence was, is, and will be an absolute wagon at home, especially in conference play. So far the Friars are 10-0 at home this season, 6-4 ATS, while Seton Hall is 1-4 on the road both SU and ATS, sometimes I am a pure numbers guy and today seems like the day.

Pick 3: Texans @ Colts over 47.5 / Texans -1

There is something about games in Lucas Oil Stadium that just scream over, especially between these two teams. Earlier in the year this was a 31-20 game, I expect it to be similar. I think the Texans are ultimately the better all-around team. Devin Singletary’s emergence as a very useful runner, and pass catcher, has made this Texans offense that much better. The Colts are 6-1 this year on home overs this year to top things off.
