About Last Night: 1-2

✅ Devils ML

❌ Hornets @ Timberwolves 1H under 107.5

❌ Timberwolves -14.5

I am not going to lie, I was very concerned about the Devils when they gave up that goal to go down one into the third period. Thankfully, they were able to save my night. Hand up, the Timberwolves was a bad bet, but it was not my fault. The Timberwolves put together one of the worst fourth quarters I have ever seen. They had a 15-point lead, and then Karl Anthony-Towns started forcing shots so that he could score more than Joel Embiid that night. Scoring 64 points and losing is straight-up embarrassing. Again, not my fault.

With that being said, let’s get into today’s picks.

Capitals @ Avalanche

There are a lot of ways to go about this where there are slight edges that favor the Avalanche. The Avalanche are two games better ATS this year than the Capitals. The Avalanche are 14-9 ATS at home, while Washington is only 9-12 ATS on the road. Also, Colorado is on 3 days rest, while Washington is on a back-to-back. I am expecting a big win for the Avs.

Pick: Avalanche -1.5

Hurricanes @ Bruins

Carolina has struggled to find a firm netminder this year. Spencer Martin will be in the net tonight for the Canes, sporting a 3-8-1 record with a 3.31 GAA. The Bruins seem to be heating back up after having a couple of four and five-game losing streaks. They are on 5 straight and should make it 6 here at home.

Picks: Bruins -135 / over 6

Illinois @ Northwestern

Illinois may just make my futures list. They have so much talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball. There are struggles with winning on the road in the Big 10 but I like the Illinois to overpower Northwestern, as they did earlier this month at home.

Picks: Illinois -155 & -3
