Top Ten

NFL's full list of Top 100 players is complete + OBJ comments and Hard Knocks is here!

Good morning everyone! Here's what news we ✨snagged✨ for you around the world of football today:

🔝 NFL’s Full List of Top 100 Players

🤯 OBJ Said What?

🚀 ...and much more! Let's get into it.

👑 Main Character

The NFL 100 - a ranking of NFL players by the NFL players - released the best and final 10 guys on the list yesterday. Any guesses on who took the top spot? Spoiler, he’s pictured above.

Patrick Mahomes took home the No. 1 ranking for the second time in three seasons, and for good reason. Coming off a Super Bowl win, Super Bowl MVP, and regular season MVP, it’s not hard to see why the players all agree that Patty is not only the best quarterback, but best overall player, in the NFL.

Rounding out the top 10 were…

#2 WR Justin Jefferson

#4 DL Nick Bosa

#5 TE Travis Kelce

#7 WR Tyreek Hill

#8 QB Josh Allen

#10 DT Chris Jones

We’re not here to debate the list, but with only ten slots, many notable names were left just outside the top 10. Notable former top players like Aaron Donald, Myles Garrett, Trent Williams, and Davante Adams finished just outside of that elite group of ten. If Snagged Sports were to re-rank them, here’s how it would go:

#1 QB Patrick Mahomes

#2 WR Justin Jefferson

#3 QB Joe Burrow

#4 DL Micah Parsons

#5 DL Nick Bosa

#6 QB Josh Allen

#7 OL Trent Williams

#8 WR Tyreek Hill

#9 TE Travis Kelce

#10 WR Davante Adams

This is not up for debate. These are factually correct rankings based on hours and hours of crunching numbers and days in the film room. Just one newsletter and its thoughts — nothing else.

🐣 Tweet of the Day

There isn’t a world where we would be able to see if this would be true or not, but OBJ did have a stellar first half during his Super Bowl appearance….that’s all we’ll say about that.

💰 Mr. Covers’ Corner

Futures are back! What’s Mr. Covers got on his mind today?

🔮 Raiders U 6.5 wins (-140)

This is one of my biggest future bets so far this preseason, and I don’t know how I didn’t see it in the first round of futures I gave out. The Raiders are arguably the biggest soon-to-be dumpster fire in the NFL.

Josh McDaniels is not a good coach. He cannot win when it matters, and has clearly shown in his past to not be a players’ coach.

Josh Jacobs is already upset with his contract situation. Davante Adams was promised he would be playing with his college QB, and now, Derek Carr is no longer with the team. Overall, it seems that they are on the precipice of a rebuild, and I could see both Jacobs and Adams requesting a trade in the next year, even as soon as during this season.

Oh, and I haven’t even gotten to the point that they have to play the Chiefs and Chargers twice a year. An automatic four losses right there. If this under doesn’t hit, then I might quit betting altogether.
