Mile High Magic, Baseball Bets, and much more!
Good morning everyone! Here's what news we ✨snagged✨ for you around the sports world today:
🪄 Mile High Magic
🤑 Baseball Bets
🚀 ...and much more! Let's get into it.
👑 Main Character
The Denver Nuggets, for the first time in 47 years, are headed to the NBA Finals as the Best in the West. In one of the closer matchups of the series, it looked like the Lakers were going to steal a game behind Lebron's 40 point performance, but Denver's two-time MVP heaved what some are calling the 'greatest shot in Nuggets history' to put them ahead for good.

The rest, as they say, is history. Nikola Jokic and company finally get over the WCF hump that they have been trying to climb for so long now. And they did so without any MVPs, All-Defensive players, Coach of the Year, and just a single All-Star in Jokic. This postseason has clearly been marked by underdogs, and while Denver may have been the one seed, it sure feels like they have been nothing but doubted this entire season.
They will await their likely opponent in the Heat as they try to complete a sweep of their own in Boston later tonight.

We're not sure if this is wholesome, or just some good quality fun, but this Saints QB put on a photoshoot for the ages.

Carmelo Anthony, one of the most iconic NBA players of the past 20 years, has officially decided to call it a career in an emotionally charged video he posted to his socials yesterday. He finishes his career with:
10 All-Star appearances
6 All-NBA selections
9th on the all-time scoring list
75th Anniversary Team member
Safe to say, Melo is in that category of the greatest to ever do it, even without the ring.

About last (Fort)night...
First night back and we go 1-2... makes sense unfortunately. I really thought that Lebron didn’t have it in him, but he did at least for the first half of this game to cover that 1Q spread. The Rangers put on a late push at the end, and despite the loss, I like them to bounce back tomorrow.
⚾️ MLB: Rangers -1.5 vs. Pirates
Per my about last night, I love the Rangers tonight even after the loss. With Nathan Eovaldi on the mound, and the Rangers due for positive regression, give me the Rangers at the very least F5. Personally, I like them ML and Spread overall.
⚾️ MLB: Astros vs. Brewers YRFI
I had previously said that NO runs first inning was becoming my new favorite bet, and what I meant was both yes and no first inning runs. Both starting pitchers have a 4.11 and 5.52 ERA, and with that, I see the Astros getting on the board first.
🏒 NHL: Stars ML -143 vs. Vegas
Scared money don’t make money, and I am terrified, so I am going to bet a hefty sum to combat that fear. The Stars have been unlucky and not been playing to their ability this series so far. I firmly believe that. I think the stars bounce back BIG and move this series to 2-1 behind their captain, Jamie Benn.
