All Hail The Victors, Preseason Drama, and much more!
Good morning everyone! Here's what news we ✨snagged✨ for you around the sports world today:
🗡️ All Hail The Victors
🏈 Preseason Drama
🚀 ...and much more! Let's get into it.
👑 Main Character
It feels crazy to say this, but in just six years since becoming a franchise, the Las Vegas Golden Knights are Stanley Cup champions. The vibes were high in Sin City, and the players were clearly feeding off of it with their 9 goal performance.

The Cinderella story that was the Florida Panthers came to a screeching halt once the Finals began. The P’s were outscored 26-12 over the five game series, and won just one game that they pulled out in overtime. The story of South Beach as a whole was one many got behind between the NHL and NBA Playoffs, but as we know, fairytales don’t always come true.
As for the Golden Knights, owner Bill Foley called his shot when the team entered the league in 2017. On his team’s expectations, he said “playoffs in three [years], Cup in six [years].” Well, if you do some quick math, this is the sixth year of their existence, and wouldn’t you know, the prophesy came through. Now if only Dallas could have some of the same success as the city of Las Vegas…

Nothing better than seeing some babies try their hand at golf. Little Sammie Spieth and Maya Fowler may soon grow up to be elite golfers like their dads, but for now, just enjoy the cuteness of the moment as they gear up for the third major of the season.

It seems, Diggs was there yesterday and there this morning. He left prior to the start of practice.

What in the world is going in over in Buffalo? Reports were swirling yesterday after star receiver Stefon Diggs was a no-show for mandatory camp to kick off the beginning of practice for NFL teams across the nation.
It was a surprise to many as Diggs is not holding out for contract reasons as he signed a 4-year, $96 million dollar contract in the offseason. This led many to believe it had to do with relationships with the front office/players, and most think it has to do with his relationship with QB Josh Allen. Nobody is quite sure what is going on, but this is the only context we have from the source himself regarding the entire situation.

All we know is, NFL drama is back, and it’s something all of America not only wants back into its lives, but needs. A+ for the NFL script writers so far.

About last night...
The most positive thing I have felt from baseball gambling is the variety. It feels different from basketball because it goes for so much longer. I am happy with my wins, but count this as the first time I’m publicly saying I NEED football. Nonetheless, I will take my wins.
⛳️ US Open: Max Homa +2500 / Top 10 +300
This is a geographical pick. Homa’s numbers on the west coast versus anywhere else is absurd. He also set the course record at LACC while he was at Cal, and I think it’s safe to say he is a little better than he was back then. I placed a Homa to win at +5000 back in February, so I will be riding him hard this weekend.
⛳️ US Open: Bryson DeChambeau Top 10 +450
Weird guy, tough takes on 9/11, hot golfer; these are the three things that Bryson brings to the golf community. In reality, DeChambeau played very well in the few LIV events, as well as a top finish at the PGA Championship. He gained 7.5 strokes off the tee during that weekend alone. If his driver is connecting, boy you better watch out.
⛳️ US Open: First Round leader Wyndham Clark +5500
One of my favorite things about majors is picking one of the most random names to lead after the first round. It almost always happens. My reasoning for picking Clark is that I scrolled down to the bottom of who my sports book had available and thought his name was cool. Safe to say you can trust me on this one.
