Main Character: The Play-In

The NBA's play-in tournament is a controversial topic, but it gives the fans what they want at the end of the day: more basketball. And after last night's drama, how could you hate on more basketball?

Hawks vs. Heat

Why was 8 afraid of 7? It wasn't, they stole their spot in the playoffs.

The Atlanta Hawks are your new 7 seed in the East, and no one saw this coming. It was a team effort as Trae Young put up a solid 25/8/7 line with help from Dejounte scoring 18, Sadiq Bey putting up 17, and Clint Capela grabbing 21, yes, 21 rebounds including 8 offensive rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Heat's leading scorer was Kyle Lowry who looked like his prime Raptor days. Lowry put up an inspiring effort with 33 points, but with little help aside from J-But and Mr. Herro, the Heat find themselves at risk of elimination.

There's nothing more vindicating than an underdog win, so you know Hawks fans kept the receipts!

The Hawks will now play the 2 seed Boston Celtics and the Heat will try to earn their way to an 8 seed as they await the winner of the Bulls/Raptors game tonight.

Lakers vs. T-Wolves

The Lake-show was on full display as the Lebron James led Lakers willed their way to an OT win behind Lebron's 30/10/6 on 50% three point shooting.

The Timberwolves were up at 11 at halftime, but saw their lead disappear throughout the second half. Not all hope was lost though. With the Lakers up 98-95 with 1.4 seconds, the T-Wolves inbounded the ball to Mike Conley who put up a horrible three-pointer to tie the game, but Anthony Davis fouled him to send him to the free throw line, and ultimately, overtime.

In OT, the T-Wolves put up a disappointing 4 points and lost the game 108-102. KAT had a solid performance putting up a double-double on the night, but outside of Mike Conley's 23, there was no help from the Gobert-less squad to help light up the scoreboard.

The Lakers now secure themselves a matchup against the No. 2 seed Grizzlies. The Timberwolves will get back Gobert and have to fight yet again to stay in the playoffs and will play the winner of the Thunder vs. Pelicans game.

You May Not Have Seen THIS 👀

The Boston Bruins are the hottest team on ice, and it's not looking like they're cooling down any time soon.

Last night, the Bruins became the team with the most points in a single season at 133 - beating out the 1976-1977 Montreal Canadiens. Here's just a couple of records this Bruins team has set this season:

  • Most wins in a single season (63)

  • Most points in a single season (133)

  • T1st for most wins in a single season by a goalie (40, shoutout Linus)

  • Most home wins in franchise history (34)

I think most hockey fans would tell you that is a good season to have. The Bruins head into the NHL Playoffs as the odds on favorite (duh) at +370! Unheard of!

About last night...

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED??? LOOK AT ALL THAT GREEN!!!!!

I am the Prince of Puck. I am the best. I take my payments in Zelle, Venmo, and cash money baby. This slate had me so excited and it did not disappoint. To those who subscribe, get ready to make money this NHL postseason. I’m on fire. And to the haters, you know who you are, it has been awfully awfully quiet in my texts. My phone hasn't been this silent since my high school days.

🏒 NHL: Stars -165 vs. Blues

Again I start with B.A.B: Boys are buzzing. The Stars have won their last two meetings and two out of three on the season. The Stars are hot and the Blues are out of the playoffs. With the Stars sitting at 7-2-1 in their last 10, ride with the hot hand and take the Stars.

⚾️ MLB: Brewers vs. D-Backs U 9.5

I'm not quite sure why this number is so high. Both of their previous games the last 2 days have gone under this number. These teams are a combined 12-10-1 on unders so far this year, so my gut says stick with the numbers. K.I.S.S. -  keep it simple stupid.

As per usual, do you what you must with this valuable information.

🐣 Tweet of the Day 🐣

Trust me, I know it's an Instagram link, but you're going to want to scroll through this one. If you thought you didn't like the Astros now, check out what former Houston-ite Evan Gattis had to say about his experience with the 2017 World Series team.

☝️ Snagged's Top Play ☝️

Did you check your watch last night? Well, at approximately 10:00 pm CT, the clock struck Heim time. The call on the walk-off homer is almost as good as the home run itself. The Rangers got it done, and got it done good.
