Main Character: NFL Free Agency, Day 2
NFL Free Agency has taken over the sports world as Schefter tweet after Schefter tweet populated our timelines with a new move every hour. After a hectic day of GM's shuffling their players around the league, there is lots to be discussed. Who won the day yesterday is something I'll leave up to you.
How 'Bout Them Cowboys?
FINALLY. Cowboys fans can take a sigh of relief and actually applaud the work that the Jones family put in to pull off a trade for All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore for a fifth round compensatory pick in this year's draft.
For a corner who has solidified himself among the best in the league, it's a small, small price to pay. Gilmore, who had a brief stint in Indy, joins Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons to make up a big 3 if there ever was such a thing in football.
QB Controversy?
The Atlanta Falcons have not had the offseason we expected. They lead all teams in odds to land free agent Lamar Jackson, but turns out, the front office had very different plans much to the dismay of Falcons fans.
The Dirty Birds signed former Commanders starter, Taylor Heinicke, to a 2-year, $20 million dollar contract. Paired with 2022 third round pick Desmond Ridder, the Falcons will likely have a quarterback competition to determine their starter for the 2023-2024 season.
New Look Lions
Bears fans have had nothing to complain about thus far when it comes to the free agency period. That is, until now.
Stud running back, David Montgomery, is headed to Detroit on a 3-year, $18 million dollar contract to become their feature back of the future. With injury issues regarding D'Andre Swift and the leading touchdown scorer in the NFL last year, Jamaal Williams, likely wanting a significant pay day, the Lions decided to lock in a back at a price they want.
NY Jets + Rodgers = Done?
The New York Jets signed preferred target of Aaron Rodgers and breakout receiver, Allen Lazard, to a 4-year, $44 million dollar deal. Will this be the move that finally brings A-Rod to the Jets? It seems like it should be, and if it isn't, there's no telling what the attention seeking, headline making, difficult to acquire Aaron Rodgers is looking for in a team. Good luck Jets fans, it's on you now.
You May Not Have Seen THIS 👀
If you're looking forward to watching your favorite MLB teams on local broadcast network, your content may be in jeopardy (with Diamond at least).
Diamond, who owns the rights to broadcast more than 40 teams games nationally, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is at risk of losing its contract with said teams across the board. A restructuring is in place and Diamond has reassured fans that they will be able to stream games for the upcoming MLB season.
Things are sure to be shifted in the future for regional sports networks, but for now, Diamond holds the keys to the rights. Read more about the ins and outs of the current streaming situation here to stay in the know of things. After all, that's why you subscribe to Snagged Sports!

Tuesday's Results:
✅ MSU vs Pitt U 133 & Pitt +2.5
✅ NY Knicks -1.5 vs. Trail Blazers
About last night...
I want to take a moment and apologize to all the haters and the doubters. I’m sorry that my ice cold streak was only a week long. I am all the way back.
The Pitt vs. MSU game was a little too close for comfort due to above average three point shooting, but our Panthers pulled it out. MY Knicks also gave me a scare in the first half but came back in the second half to absolutely destroy the Blazers with Josh Hart turning into one of the greatest basketball players the Knicks have ever seen.
2-0 feels fantastic given what happened last week, but I’m already onto the next picks. Thursday and Friday will be here before we know it.
🏀 NBA: Kings -115 vs. Bulls
🚨 NBA GAME OF THE YEAR ALERT 🚨
I’m a self-aware man, 100%. I am aware enough to say that I am a notch above a casual NBA fan but even as a professional casual NBA fan I don’t understand this line. The Kings are 8-2 in their last 10, and the Bulls are a lackluster 5-5. The Kings are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 while the Bulls are 3-6-1. History tells the story here, so I’m all in on the Kings. I'm putting my money where my mouth is with a 2.5 unit play on this one, so you know its real.
🏀 CBB: Nevada +2.5
I’m going to be honest and transparent here. I heard a stat that was very favorable for Nevada on the Action Network podcast, but I don’t remember exactly what it is. I told myself to remember it for this exact moment, but here we are. Sharps are on this, so naturally, I’m on this too.
As per usual, do you what you must with this valuable information.

Darren Waller is headed to New York, but not before his new wife takes some shots at her hubby's now ex-head coach. It seems that all parties are better off without each other.
