Getting your money back is never a bad thing. The Buccaneers not covering hurt most of all, it was playing out so perfectly. My heart broke a good bit when the ball hit the ground on that two-point conversion. Whether you like it or not, Baker played a solid game and gave his team a chance to win. Lastly, Patrick Mahomes has officially officially taken up the mantle that Tom Brady had cemented so well of being “the guy” in the NFL. He has never not made the AFC Championship game. It seems like it doesn’t matter who his receivers are, he is going to find a way.

With that being said, let’s get into today’s picks.

Golden Knights @ Devils

The Golden Knights season has been plagued with injuries. First, it was Adin Hill, then it was Jack Eichel, and now William Karlsson. It is impressive how many games they are still winning. The Devils have been hit or miss this year. Not having their star in Jack Hughes definitely does not help their playoff push. However, there is ample data that suggests backing a home favorite after a home loss. Call me a nerd but this is a pure system model data-driven play

Hornets @ Timberwolves

I am stretching for picks today, this is not a spray-the-board kind of day for me. However, I can sniff out an edge on a play like a bloodhound. The first of which is a 2 unit play for me. Combined, these two teams are 31-51 on first-half over/under this year. For the second pick, I am purely basing this off of the eye test. The Hornets suck and the Timberwolves are really good.
