Many Monies

Mad Dough, Mr. Covers is back baby, and much more!

Good morning everyone! Here's what news we ✨snagged✨ for you around the sports world today:

🍞 Mad Dough

💰 Mr. Covers is back baby!

🚀 ...and much more! Let's get into it.

👑 Main Character

Often referred to as soccer’s ‘next up’, frenchman Kylian Mbappe has made it known that he wants out at PSG. Well, ask and you shall receive.

We all know the Saudis are getting into the sports game, and they are more than willing to throw money around like it’s nobody’s business. In order to grow their league, they believe it best that Mbappe come and join the party after failing to entice Messi with their offer. The salary they are willing to pay for him to join soccer club, Al Hilal? Get ready for this…

$1.1 BILLION DOLLARS

Oh, and it’s just for one season’s worth of play. ABSOLUTELY WILD.

The deal would be by far and a way the biggest contract ever given to a professional athlete. Other athletes from across the sporting world gave their two cents on the situation surrounding Al Hilal’s newest offer.

Despite how you may feel about the Saudi influence on sports, this deal has definitely put the world on notice (if it wasn’t already apparent) that these guys are willing to pay top dollar for top talent.

It’s a deal Kylian may not be able to pass up, but with nothing yet confirmed, there’s to wonder, what else is there to really think about? Take the money, play a season and then come back to Europe and do whatever makes you happy.

🐣 Tweet of the Day

A surprise indeed!

After discussions that Saquon Barkley may sit out the season for the sake of the running back position, the news broke early this morning that he would make his way to training camp immediately after signing his one-year deal.

Whether this is good for the RB market is still to be determined, but one thing’s for sure: Barkley is betting on himself.

💰 Mr. Covers’ Corner

He’s back everyone!

As we ease back into the heavier season of the sports calendar, Mr. Covers is sitting us down and teach us some life lessons that we can all learn from.

Lesson 2: Don’t pay anyone on Twitter (or X or whatever it’s called now) for picks

I don’t mean to use the ‘s’ word here, but these guys are, for the most part, scam artists. If you are a genuine professional then that’s fine, but some guy named “BANKROLLBOYZ420” shouldn’t never ever be trusted.

They can get hot with their picks, yes, but the ROI isn’t always there. If you are placing bets, make the picks yourself or find free resources like Action Network, Pikkit, or Bettingpros. These are all great resources, and most importantly free, that have upgrade options if you do end up wanting more in-depth analysis.

Action Pro is great and totally worth it to me, but for others, it might not be! Just please don’t give in to the ‘s’ words.

P.S. when in doubt, bet with Chris Raybon - a notable, free-to-follow expert.
