All the playoff drama, we might have found a new Mayweather, and America's new favorite soccer club gets a win

Welcome back to another edition of Snagged Sports, where we ✨snag✨ all of the best stories in sports and serve them up on a screen near you. In today's edition, all the playoff drama, we might have found a new Mayweather, and America's new favorite soccer club gets a win. Let's get into it.

Playoff Headlines

Sports! All. The. Sports. There was so much happening this weekend, you might've already forgotten about the perfect game that was ruined by this very unfortunate play. There's a lot to recap from this weekend, so we will attempt to cover it all. Away we go!

NHL

Parody is a bit more common in hockey than in other sports, but so far, the teams that should be winning are winning, and convincingly at that. Each of the 1 and 2 seeds either hold the series lead or are tied in the series (except for the Devils...sorry NJ).

The Stars/Wild series and the Kings/Oilers series have both been non stop action and have come down to the wire in most of their respective games. Last nights Pacific Division matchup saw it go into overtime for the second straight game, but this time with the Oilers winning after being down 3-0 after the first period. The Stars on the other hand evened the series back up behind Tyler Seguin's two goal night.

There really is nothing like playoff hockey, and it's only going to get more intense from here on out.

NBA

Sixers moved on, Celtics, Knicks, Nuggets, and Suns all hold a 3-1 lead, the Bucks are in series trouble without Giannis, and the best series of the NBA Playoffs thus far have been Lakers/Grizzlies and Warriors/Kings.

A LOT happened since we've last met, but here are the main things you should know about the NBA right now.

  • Lebron vs. Dillon Brooks is the hottest new beef in town. Lakers' broadcast team had zero regard for Brooks' image with this hilariously lopsided comparison.

  • Bucks' star Giannis Antetokounmpo missed his second straight game with a back contusion and his status for Game 4 is up in the air.

  • Draymond came back from suspension and the Warriors are looking like their old selves, winning their past two to even the series against the Kings.

  • Knicks fans are going insane after taking a commanding 3-1 series lead.

All the NBA action continues tonight, and if you haven't noticed by now, the playoffs are a must watch.

You Might Not Have Seen THIS 👀

The stars were out for the highly anticipated fight between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta 'Tank' Davis, and the two catch-weights gave the fans a show. Ultimately, after a fluster of exchanges, Davis KO'd Garcia with a body shot to end the fight.

It was a fight many fans had hoped for; lots of offense, lots of landed punches, and lots of trash talk pre-fight. As for after the fight, Davis and Garcia congratulated each other and each walked away with more than enough money in their pockets.

Rumors of a rematch are already swirling, and even has an endorsement from Conor McGregor. I think we can all say we'd love to see that fight again. Who says no?

We see it every year - the Steph and Riley Curry handshake, but it truly never gets old. Two legends of the game back at it again.

Friday's Results

❌ Stars vs. Wild U 5.5 goals

✅ A’s vs. Rangers O 8.5 runs

❌ Lebron O 28.5 points

About this weekend...

I won a mystery bet and that is all I have to say about the Wild and Stars game on Friday night. When Lebron started off with the first 6 points of the Lakers game I had already mentally cashed my ticket. The Lakers played TOO good, got TOO far ahead and Lebron was TOO generous. I cannot believe the over didn’t hit. MJ is my GOAT. He would’ve had 50.

🏒 NHL: Toronto vs. Tampa Bay O 6 goals + Tampa -105

I ended the first week of Stanley Cup Playoffs much better than I started. I had to warm up the brain a bit. These two are 3 for 3 on the over so far in the series. Even with all the injuries Tampa has, they still hung around in Game 3. They have been to three straight Stanley Cup Finals for a reason, and that reason is they are really good at hockey, especially at home. I like Tampa winning 5-3 here.

🏒 NHL: New York Rangers -150 vs. Devils

Not going to lie, there's not a lot of data to back up this pick other than if a series starts off 2-2 with the teams winning both of their away games, it's too drunk and needs to go home. Rangers have too much talent, and I have a been to a NYR game. Can’t think of any better reasons.

⚾️ MLB: Texas Rangers vs. Reds O 8.5 runs

Don’t mix up the Rangers picks here. Rangers and runs both start with an R... coincidence? I think NOT. The Reds are 7-5 in their overs this year, and the Rangers are 14-6 overall in their overs. Should be plenty of runs scored. Also, play the Texas Rangers and NY Rangers ML parlay for +210 for a little bit of extra fun.

As per usual, do you what you must with this valuable information.

🐣 Tweet of the Weekend 🐣

There's something special going on at Wrexham. If you haven't heard about their story, go to Hulu.com right now and watch Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's story about this club and how they eventually have turned it around into a championship winning team.

☝️ Snagged's Top Play ☝️

Yes, the XFL is still happening, and they're making plays like this. It wasn't the prettiest of passes, but an 84 touchdown is impressive, no matter how it happens.
