More Jimmy Butler, New York has its newest viral trend, and Mr. Covers gives us his picks for a spicy NHL playoff slate
Welcome back to another edition of Snagged Sports, where we β¨snagβ¨ all of the best stories in sports and serve them up on a screen near you. In today's edition, more Jimmy Butler, New York has its newest viral trend, and Mr. Covers gives us his picks for a spicy NHL playoff slate. Let's get into it.
Main Character: Jimmy Clutch
I know we've already covered Mr. Butler this week, but what he's doing on the court right now deserves a feature at the top. Last night, the eight seed Miami Heat sent home the championship favorite Milwaukee Bucks in a Game 5 for the ages.
With just a few seconds on the clock, the Heat needed a miracle, down two with just 2.1 seconds to go. From the half-court line, the ball was lobbed off the in-bounds pass to Butler who, in one fluid motion, scooped the ball and lobbed it into the basket to force overtime.

There is a case to make that the Heat only won because Giannis was hurt, but the Bucks star player played in the last two games, and even put up an insane stat line last night with 38 points and 20 rebounds. Jimmy gave it everything he had this series, and now will be rewarded with a matchup against New York's finest...the Knicks.
You Might Not Have Seen THIS π
Speaking of the Knicks, they too won their series as the underdog, and fans New York fans everywhere (including Mr. Covers) are hyped to see how far this team can go. First year Knick Jalen Brunson has been a big reason for the team's success, and now has the newest viral signature in all of basketball. Even celebrities are getting in on the action
Donβt worry about it

I'm sure if the Knicks win the championship, heck, win this next series, there will be a statue of Brunson in front of MSG in no time. Enjoy the ride New York.

After 12 years in the minor leagues, 33 year-old Drew Maggi made his first plate appearance with the Pittsburgh Pirates last night. Goes to show that if you want something bad enough, you can make it a reality.

Wednesday's Results
β Knicks 1H +3 vs. Cleveland
β Kings 1Q&1H +0.5 vs. Warriors + Kings +1.5 + Kings ML +105
β Boston -1.5 vs. Florida + U 6 goals
Ladies and gentlemen, what a trio of NHL games we have tonight. I am so beyond excited for these matchups that I almost canceled my weekly Thursday night therapy. However, one successful night of betting is better than any therapy session I have ever had. Mental health is mental wealth. Lock in for these winners.
About last night...
The Bβs let me down. It was not for lack of trying as they had over 40 shots on goal, and sometimes, that's just how the puck bounces. However, how bout my Knicks huh? My 800-1 Knicks Eastern conference future is looking.. alive, at least. Lastly, this Kings and Warriors series is an absolute dog fight, and is far and away the most fun first round series.
π NHL: Leafs -155 vs. Lightning & O 6.5 goals
I want to be on the right side of history here. I want to enjoy how awesome it will be if the Leafs win their first Stanley Cup Playoff series in almost two decades. Awesomeness may not be the best betting analysis, but sometimes is cool to enjoy the moment. Listen to this: the Leafs are the better team and they are at home. As far as the total goes, this series has gone over in every game and that will continue. One unit on the Leafs ML, and 2.5 units on the over.
π NHL: NY Rangers O 2.5 goals vs. NJ Devils
Not sure I can stomach taking the Rangers ML tomorrow. I want to believe in them. This feels like a safer way to take the Rangers (-100) side while still allowing for the Rangers to lose. With how bad their offense has been the last two games, they are due to get at least 3 goals here.
π NHL: VGK Jack Eichel O 3.5 SOG
Close out game! Eichel is the only real offensive threat for Vegas. Eichel has cleared this number in two of the last four games, but is averaging four SOG this series. Look for this guy to continue to attack the pipes.
π NHL: Vegas vs. Winnipeg U 5.5 goals
I believe in the Vegas under. Every game this series has gone over and these teams were first and tenth in the under all regular season. Water always finds its level. Zig where everyone else zags. Bob where they weave.
As per usual, do you what you must with this valuable information.
