Main Character: Final Four
There is truly nothing like the NCAA Tournament, and this year has certainly proved that to be true. Where else would you find this many upsets, this many storylines, and this many magical moments that will last for a lifetime? This year's Final Four is something unlike anything we have seen before, but it doesn't mean these teams don't belong. FAU, Miami, UConn, San Diego State; who would have thought?!
Florida Atlantic
It seems a bit silly that a team with only 3 losses on the entire season is considered a 'Cinderella' team, but the Owls of Florida Atlantic have shown us time and time again why they belong in this Final Four.
Kansas State's Markquis Nowell, the darling of this year's tournament, gave the Owls his best effort, putting up 30 points and 12 assists, but it was clear FAU's strategy was to make Nowell beat them, and as good as the kid is, it just wasn't enough to take down the defensive juggernaut. Winning the rebound battle at a 2:1 ratio also didn't hurt which turned into 14 offensive rebounds giving FAU multiple looks at the basket, another big advantage. Ultimately, when it came down to it, FAU played the better game, made the most shots when they needed it, and hit their free throws late in the game to seal the deal. What more could you ask for out of a Final Four team?
The 'Beach Boys', as guard, Alijah Martin, has coined for the team, is headed to its first ever Final Four and will face off against San Diego State for a shot at taking the court for the National Championship.
UConn
Domination.
Many people were hyping up UConn at the start of the tournament with some picking them to win it all as their 'dark horse of the tournament' but how this team ended up as a 4 seed is beyond me. Their closest game of the tournament thus far was a 15 point win against Saint Mary's, and even then, the Huskies were in control the entire way.
Gonzaga kept it close in the first half, but it was clear that UConn was playing at a different pace, and on a different level, that Gonzaga had faced before. Leading at half by just 7 points, UConn put their foot on the gas and outscored the Bulldogs 43-22 in the second half, securing yet another convincing win and a spot in the Final Four.
To me, it's UConn's tournament to lose, because this team looks unbeatable. In a tournament that thrives on chaos, this team is the calm, cool and collected. Head coach Dan Hurley has these boys playing to the absolute peak of their powers, and if teams aren't careful, we might see some more blowouts en route to a National Championship.
San Diego State
This San Diego State team just accomplished something never seen before for the Mountain West Conference, make the Final Four. Not even Kawhi Leonard's SDSU team had a run this magical, and magical it has been.
In basketball, you never want to see a game come down to the officiating, but on Sunday, the refs had to make some tough calls at the end of the game that ultimately ended up deciding the game. With just over 1 second left in the game, Aztecs' Darrion Trammell was fouled driving to the lane for a potential game-winning layup. There was speculation from the broadcast whether it really was a foul or not, but either way, Trammell was going to the free throw line.
WHAT A FINISH 🤯
San Diego State (+122 ML) draws the foul with 1.2 seconds left and gets the win!

Luckily, for Trammell's sake, he made 1 of 2 free throws to go up 57-56 with nothing but a Hail Mary attempt from Creighton standing in their way of a win. After the heave was made, there was some discrepancy on when it was touched and when the ball hit out of bounds, but in the end, the refs decided the game was over and San Diego State was officially the third member of this year's Final Four.
Despite the late game shenanigans, SDSU has earned their way to the Final Four. I would say this team is a team of destiny, but it seems like each Final Four team is like that this year. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than to be good, but when you got both, it's hard to beat.
Miami
Texas was the clear favorite in the Elite Eight to take home the title, and with 10 minutes left to go in the game against Miami, it was all but settled that the Horns were going to have a chance at the title.
Not so fast. The U rallied back from 12 points down behind a perfect shooting night from Jordan Miller to stun Texas and book the last spot to Houston for a spot in the Final Four. Miller went 7/7 from the field and 13/13 from the free throw line ending the night with 27 points. Oh, and did I mention they did all of this without making a single three-point shot? Unheard of in today's basketball.

In one of the more grueling tournaments of the year, Sam Burns grabbed his 5th win on the PGA Tour after defeating Cameron Young 6&5 in the tournament's final round. Burns becomes the first player since 2006 to win the event in his first try.
The semi-final round was more of a championship than any other, going against world #1 and defending champion Scottie Scheffler. The pair took 21 holes to decide a winner, and all it took was a 10 footer to go down to move into the championship round.

After that it was smooth sailing as it only took 13 holes to decide the championship match against Young, who had played great golf up until that point. "Man, I'm just really tired," were the first words Burns said after the win, but hopefully his $3.5 milly will help him rest and recover before Augusta in a couple of weeks!

Nathan Mensah was born in Ghana.
The SDSU star almost turned pro last year, hoping to support his family — but didn't want to leave on a bad note.
So he took an internship at a financial firm, stayed in school, and helped the Aztecs reach their first Final Four.

Nathan Mensah is the definition of a team player. He needed money to provide for his family, but SDSU took care of his as he decided to come back for a redemption year. Boy, did that pay off or what?

The Big Apple was a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of giving you guys picks every day, but it's good to be back and it's time to to get back to getting you guys some winners.
🏒 NHL: Florida vs. Ottawa O 7
Overs are easy when you pick teams that score goals. Florida has gone over in each of their last 4 games, and Ottawa has gone over in 3 of their last 5. In summary, both teams can score score score. Give me the points here and let’s have some fun!
🏀 NBA: Minnesota +3 1H vs. Sacramento
The Kings have a chance to clinch home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs if they win tonight. Wow, what a world we live in. The Kings typically like start off slow and then turn it in on in the second half. The Timberwolves have covered this number in each of their first 3 meetings, so why would this time be any different? I like Minnesota plus the points here, and might even sprinkle a little bit on the 1H ML. After all, they have won 2 out of 3 in the first half straight up, and 2 out of 3 games straight up.
As per usual, do you what you must with this valuable information.

An all-time quote from Lebron James, but it seems that he has found himself a way back on to the court after recovering from a potentially serious foot injury.
