Fouls, suspensions, ejections, oh my! (+much more)

Welcome back to another edition of Snagged Sports, where we ✨snag✨ all of the best stories in sports and serve them up on a screen near you. In today's edition, fouls, suspensions, ejections, oh my! (and much more)! Let's get into it.

Main Character: Sixers

The Philadelphia 76ers are on cruise control in their series against the Nets, but with James Harden on your team, there is sure to be some sort of playoff drama. That's what we got last night.

Harden was ejected in late in the third quarter for a foul on Royce O'Neale. He was assessed a flagrant two and tossed for the remainder of the game for this hit on O'Neale. Should Harden have been tossed? You be the judge:

It's no secret Harden had some 'oompf' behind that drive to the basket, but to rule that worthy of an ejection is wild. Luckily for the Sixers, they held on to go up 3-0 in the series behind Tyrese Maxey's team-high 25 points and a game-sealing block from future MVP Joel Embiid.

Speaking of Embiid, he had a flagrant foul of his own, and was lucky to stay in the game after this fall/kick combo to the ground. If anything, the ejections should have been switched, but for the refs, it's hard to eject a top tier player without facing major backlash, more than what they probably have from Harden last night.

Either way, Philly will be moving on in this series, it's just a matter of time at this point. As long as the Sixers can stay healthy, and keep their composure on the court, they will be a team no one wants to see down the road.

Max Scherzer two days in a row? Max Scherzer two days in a row!

After being ejected from the game yesterday from having sticky substances on his hand, the Mets' pitcher was given a 10-game suspension from the MLB. Scherzer stuck to his word (for about an hour) and put in an appeal to the league to revoke the suspension.

Well, someone should check on Max's kids, because Scherzer ultimately decided not to appeal the call from the MLB. Either it's an admission of guilt (no really, will someone make sure the kids are alright) OR it's because the appeal would have to go through an MLB arbiter and not a neutral one.

The earliest we will see the Mets pitcher back on the mound will be the start of May, and we'll get to see if he comes back out swinging with the rosin, or decide to go all natural.

Thursday's Results

❌ Clippers vs. Suns U 226.5

❌ Avalanche ML -225 + O 6 vs. Kraken

About last night...

I gave out the Clippers/Suns under before the Kawhi news broke, so I could say that it doesn’t count, but I’m a man of honor and integrity so I will humbly accept defeat. The Avs going down 0-2 to start the game would not fall into the “ideal” category, but they got it done. I was really hoping for an empty netter at the end to get the push though.

🏒 NHL: Stars vs. Wild U 5.5 goals

I can’t get myself to give out Minnesota ML because of my loyalty to the Stars, so I won’t officially tell you to take it, but if someone did take it then I wouldn’t think it was a bad bet. With that being said, I love this under. With Filip Gustavsson in goal for the Wild, the under has been hitting with ease due to his 2.10 GAA. Having Oettinger between the other pipes makes me love this under even more. (Please do not credit me with Minnesota ML, but don’t not bet it)

⚾️ MLB: A’s vs. Rangers O 8.5 runs

We are starting to get some more stats and trends over in baseball, so I will start to give more MLB bets in the near future. One thing I have learned: Rangers are run scoring machines. These two teams combine for 25-12 on overs so far this year. Two unit smash this over.

🏀 NBA: Lebron O 28.5 points

The guy averages more than that in his entire playoff career! On the other hand, this is mostly an anti Dillon Brooks bet. Anytime you have seen someone say they are the ones that stop one of the greats, (Ruben Patterson calling himself the Kobe stopper, and everyone who ever tried to talk trash to MJ) the greats have gone off. With it being Dillon Brooks of all people.. PLAYOFF PROP OF THE YEAR (over 38.5 points is +320. don’t be afraid to ride)!!

As per usual, do you what you must with this valuable information.
