+ the Pac 12 has some insane quarterback play...
Good morning everyone! Here's what news we ✨snagged✨ for you around the world of football today:
🏈 Scorigami
⚔️ Late Night Points
🚀 ...and much more! Let's get into it.
👑 Main Character

The second week of preseason football is underway in the NFL, and the Eagles and Browns had, well, an interesting game to say the least.
This time in the NFL is strictly set aside to showcase players who otherwise would not get the chance, which in turn, produces scores like the one you see here.
See below for those of us who did not see the game and tried to come up with each possible scenario at how these two teams arrived at this score.

If you aren’t already familiar with a ‘scorigami’, simply put, it’s an NFL score that has never been achieved before. The classic 28-24 games and even 13-10 games have been played over and over, but 18-18? I don’t think so.
Officially, the game will not count as a ‘scorigami’ due to it happening during preseason play, but technically, as far as we know, this is the first game in NFL history that ended in an 18-18 tie. Who said watching preseason football wasn’t about witnessing history?

Serious question: could Pete Carrol compete for a starting spot at quarterback at the ripe young age of 71? Some are saying he has the arm talent to put up a real fight.
💰 Mr. Covers Corner
Knowing what we know now, this year’s final season of the Pac-12 is going to be all the more special. Mr. Covers breaks down the potential ‘most fun’ conference in all of college football.

I don't care if the game totals are in the hundreds, I will be betting on late-night Pac-12 over all year long.
The Pac-12 is the most exciting conference in all of college football if you are basing your criteria off of quarterback play. Caleb Williams obviously takes a lot of attention but there are so many names to take note of like: Cam Rising (Utah), Bo Nix (Oregon), Michael Penix Jr. (Washington), five-star true freshman Dante Moore (UCLA), Jayden de Laura (Arizona), and Shedeur Sanders (Colorado). This has the potential to look like the early/mid-2010s Big 12 scoreboards. There are so many points to be had and I will be taking as many overs as I can (58% last year).
Obviously, there is a big dog here in USC, but that’s not to say that the Trojans are running away with things. USC does have the reigning Heisman winner in Caleb Williams, along with a bevy of offensive talent, but I really like Oregon's talent this year. However, they have too many questions on the offensive line and at wideout to make them a legitimate threat.
Utah will stay competitive because of their defense, but with Cam Rising coming back from an ACL tear that occurred late last season, I am apprehensive to back them much until I see how healthy he is. Washington is super intriguing but has a ton of question marks on the offensive line and all across the defense. But you never know, the mystery teams are the ones that shock us the most.
Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon State will stay close in some games but are ultimately just not there yet. As much as I like a lot of the talent in this conference, I think ultimately USC will win out and go to the CFP. Give me USC to make the CFP +320 and to win the Pac-12 at +170.
🥊 Quick Hits

It’s launch day for Madden 24 and the codes are hitting the streets.
Update: the Michael Oher vs. Tuohy family keeps going back and forth.
Sam Howell officially named the Commanders’ QB1.

Humans should not be able to make throws like Anthony Richardson just did.
