You know when the team’s main account is tweeting about how relieved it is to see its owner fade off into the sunset, something had to change.

The era of Dan Snyder wreaking havoc on the nation’s capital is officially over after the NFL owners came together to unanimously approve the $6.05 billion dollar sale of the Washington Commanders. Josh Harris will act as the figure head of the new ownership group that also includes Magic Johnson.

To make the sale sting all the more for the now-former owner of the team, Snyder is being fined $60 million after an independent investigation found allegations of sexual harassment by Snyder alongside deliberate underreporting of shareable revenues. This guy needed to go yesterday, but the deal is done, and now all of DMV can (and might) party like they just won the Super Bowl.
